Michael D. Murphy is the Global Marketing, Strategy and Business Planning leader for ExcellerateHRO. He is responsible for global marketing, global market strategy, business planning and intermediary/analyst relations.
Before joining ExcellerateHRO in November 2005, Murphy was a senior leader with Hewitt Associates where he held several sales and management leadership positions and was a member of Hewitt's Global Leadership Group. He worked with clients in the transportation, manufacturing, healthcare, energy and technology industries with a focus on HR and Benefits Administration outsourcing services.
Before Hewitt Associates, he was regional vice president and general manager for Moore Corporation Ltd., where he led a regional P&L and sales and marketing team for one of the world's largest print and digital communications companies. Previously, he was director of corporate sales and marketing for Baxter Healthcare Corporation, where he led Baxter's regional corporate sales and marketing alliance initiatives. He held various sales and management positions with Baxter Healthcare for more than 14 years. Murphy began his career in 1984 with American Hospital Supply Corporation in sales.
Murphy graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in journalism from Arizona State University, and he earned an executive management certificate from Southern Methodist University. He is actively involved in several philanthropic organizations in the Dallas area and is a past chairman of the board of the Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation.
