Victoria Lazar is the principal legal officer and secretary of ExcellerateHRO and a legal manager in EDS Legal Affairs. She is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of ExcellerateHRO's global legal operations, which include contracting support, governance and legal compliance for the organization.
Lazar joined EDS in 1996 as a senior attorney in EDS Legal's Corporate Acquisitions and Finance group. In that role, she supported corporate acquisitions, dispositions, equity investments and joint ventures for EDS globally. This included taking a lead role in the formation and establishment of ExcellerateHRO in 2005.
She began her career in 1990 with the law firm of Baker Botts LLP, where she was a member of the Corporate and International Department. While in private practice, she represented clients, including EDS, in corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, shareholder arrangements, corporate governance, and U.S. and non-U.S. commercial contracting. In addition, Lazar devoted substantial time to advising domestic and global clients concerning the impact of trade laws and regulations on their international business. She represented companies in industries ranging from energy/oil & gas and chemicals to technology and healthcare.
Lazar earned her law degree from The University of Chicago Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in government from Cornell University.
